I believe in working with you to create a nutrient-dense (macro and micronutrients) intuitive eating format only restricting foods that can cause systemic inflammation with resultant causation symptoms (ie. IBS symptoms)
We will focus on exercise or whatever movement works for you. I often see over-exercising as a cause of hormone imbalance, causing weight gain and other symptoms.
Depression/Anxiety
Just as 70% of our immune system is stored in our gut, certain neurotransmitters occur there as well. 90% of Serotonin ( the “happy chemical”) is stored in the gut. There is an absolute brain-body connection. If we heal the gut, treat inflammation, we can often change our mood. Meditation and exercise are part of the protocol to treat and often the most underused modalities in medicine.
Metabolic Syndrome
The Covid 19 pandemic has opened our eyes to another epidemic in healthcare, metabolic syndrome. This syndrome consists of elevated blood sugar, abdominal obesity, fatty liver disease, and high blood pressure. If not treated, this syndrome increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. This starts with dietary modifications and lifestyle changes, all within our control. I will develop your specific protocol to eliminate your risk.
